{"id":976,"date":"2026-10-05T12:53:13","date_gmt":"2026-10-05T17:53:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.wc5c.org\/?p=976"},"modified":"2026-10-05T12:53:43","modified_gmt":"2026-10-05T17:53:43","slug":"technician-class-7-14-november-2026-800am-to-500pm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wc5c.org\/?p=976","title":{"rendered":"Technician Class &#8211; 7 &#038; 14 November 2026 &#8211; 8:00AM To 5:00Pm"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <b><strong>Amateur Radio Club of Parker County<\/strong><\/b> will be conducting an <b><strong>Amateur Radio Technician License Class<\/strong><\/b> on two consecutive Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, November 7 2026 and November 14 2026.\u00a0 The License Exam Testing will be conducted at the end of the second class on November 14.\u00a0 This class will be conducted in the <b><strong>Parker County Office Of Emergency Management EOC Building<\/strong><\/b> located at 215 Trinity Avenue &#8211; Weatherford, Texas 76086 &#8211;\u00a0 which is just east of the Parker County Courthouse.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: 0;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/embed?pb=!1m18!1m12!1m3!1d3355.213228835571!2d-97.79681546729051!3d32.7600762185298!2m3!1f0!2f0!3f0!3m2!1i1024!2i768!4f13.1!3m3!1m2!1s0x8651fe10709a712b%3A0x1adf3c175b2cd8c7!2sParker%20County%20Emergency%20Management!5e0!3m2!1sen!2sus!4v1791222643256!5m2!1sen!2sus\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Go to this link to sign up as a Student to take this <b><strong>Technician License Class<\/strong><\/b>. &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/volunteersignup.org\/L8DKA\">https:\/\/volunteersignup.org\/L8DKA<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is an ARRL Technician License Class that will prepare Students to take the Amateur Radio <b><strong>Technician License Exam<\/strong><\/b>.\u00a0 This Class occurs on two consecutive Saturdays November 7 and November 14, 2026 and is limited to 20 Students.<\/p>\n<p><b><strong>NOTE &#8211;<\/strong><\/b> Students <b><strong>UNDER THE AGE OF 18<\/strong><\/b> that are still in school that successfully pass the Technician License Exam at the end of the second class on November 14, 2026 will receive a new Baofeng UV-82L Dual Band (2M\/70CM FM) HT Radio generously donated by the <b><strong>Tri-County Amateur Radio Club<\/strong><\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><b><strong>Pre-Class REQUIREMENTS:<\/strong><\/b> Purchase the &#8220;<b><strong>ARRL Ham Radio License Manual 6th Edition<\/strong><\/b>&#8221; textbook (see Item <b><strong>#1<\/strong><\/b> below) and be aware that there will be a <b><strong>$15 Exam Fee<\/strong><\/b> to take the License Exam and a <b><strong>$35 FCC License Fee<\/strong><\/b> to pay for your License if you pass the Exam.<\/p>\n<p><b><strong>Pre-EXAM REQUIREMENTS: <\/strong><\/b>Bring your <b><strong>FCC FRN#<\/strong><\/b> (see Item <b><strong>#2<\/strong><\/b> below) and pay the $15 cash fee immediately prior to taking the Exam.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8211; 1.
